Who we are
Turnip Software Inc. is a software and technology consulting company incorporated in Canada and based in Montreal, Quebec. This policy covers turnipsoftware.com, email you send us, and our accounts on Bluesky and Facebook.
What we collect
On this website. The site has no forms, no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and we set no cookies. The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
By email. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
On social media. We publish posts to our own Bluesky account and Facebook Page. If you follow, comment on or message those accounts, we can see what the platform shows us, such as your public profile and your message. Each platform handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Our Facebook app. We use a Facebook app, “Turnip Social”, only to publish posts to our own Facebook Page. It does not offer Facebook Login to anyone else and does not collect information about other Facebook users.
How we use it
We use what you send us to reply to you, to discuss and deliver work you ask us for, and to keep the business records the law requires. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the business, such as our email and hosting providers, or when the law requires it. Some of these providers may store information outside Quebec or Canada.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful for the conversation or project it relates to, and business records for as long as the law requires. Then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, as provided by Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and Canada’s PIPEDA. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
Deleting your data
To have information about you deleted, including anything connected with our Facebook Page or app, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data” and tell us how you contacted us. We will confirm once it is deleted. Comments you posted on Bluesky or Facebook can also be removed by you directly on those platforms.
